As one of American Motorcycle Association's largest ice races in the country, the 2014 AMA Racing Ice Race Grand Championships is where athletes young and old, amateur and pro, come together to show their speed and talent on a world class stage, in front of thousands of fans. In fact, many of the nation's best ice and flat track racers will come to Lake Cadillac this February and race bar-to-bar, for a chance to take home bragging rights in the form of a championship winning #1 plate.
Starting at 1pm Saturday afternoon, fans will watch the ice racers roll out onto the 1/2 mile ice track for the first time during their practice. Ice racing fans will see who has the speed to run at the front of the pack and likely have a chance at the 2014 Championship in their respective classes. Racing will follow practice and continue through the evening, under the lights.
It is the rider’s responsibility to enter the proper class. Failure to do so will result in the loss of all points earned.
All riders will be eligible to earn a maximum of four (4) classes for the meet (not per day). Youth riders are eligible to enter a maximum of three (3) classes for the meet (not per day).
A minimum of five (5) riders in a class is required in order for National Champions to be declared.
Classes with less than five (5) riders will run for meet awards only.
Riders must be a member of the AMA to participate in this event. Memberships will be available for sale in Registration the day of the event.
If you compete in any “B” support class you are not eligible to compete in any of the following classes: 250cc Modified, 450cc Modified, Veteran 30+ or Senior 40+.
Professional licensed riders are NOT permitted to compete for any championships at the AMA Racing Ice Race Grand Championships. Professionally licensed riders are only permitted in any promoter offered exhibition class, (i.e. Kold Kutter Shoot-Out).
